Ways To Be Involved
The 27th International Montessori Congress, “Montessori: Guided by Nature,” will be held from July 31 – August 3, 2013 in Portland, Oregon USA.
OMA is working to support MNW and our Montessori community as we near the date for the International Congress. We can help find ways for your school and families to contribute. The 2013 International Congress will be an amazing event for the world – Visit MNW’s website to stay involved www.montessori-nw.org and visit the 2013 International Congress website: www.montessoricongress.org to learn when the next planning meeting is happening.
This Congress is an International event for the whole Montessori community. Collaboration is happening across associations with all of the leaders in the Montessori movement. Portland is honored to be the chosen North American city – the first time the Congress has been in the USA in nearly 40 years
Here are current needs for volunteers:
Host a Home Stay for visiting Congress attendees – visit the Congress website for information.
Help stuff registration bags on Tuesday, July 30th, at the Oregon Convention Center, Room A106, between 8am and around 2pm or when complete.
There is a Glass Classroom in Pioneer Square on Wednesday, July 31st, from 11am – 2pm. Maybe, you could help set-up or participate in this aspect.
And, we are seeking Montessori Elementary students to participate in the music and flag bearing of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies!
Contact the Congress coordinators to find more ways to be involved!
