Parent Talk Packets

We have one available now!  Help Me Help Myself:  How to facilitate your young child’s need for independence.  Created by Cathy Dorner and Meredith Crandall Brown, this packet includes a flier, an outline of points to discuss, and a handout for parents.  The outline details items to discuss in a public talk, such as in a library, or a parent talk, and gives ideas of work choices to display.   Tips on giving the talk and timing for each section are included.  The talk covers the importance of independence, child development, the role of the parent, and demonstrations of activities (food prep, care of self, social independence).  Email us to learn more:
