School members of OMA may post classified ads for no charge by emailing the ad to us. Individual members may also run classified ads for themselves at no charge, but ads on behalf of non-member schools will be charged the fee for advertising.

Non-members may email us an ad and we will post it for a fee of $50. Ads are kept for 2 months. Childpeace Montessori School Seeks Substitute Teachers

Childpeace Montessori School is seeking substitutes to work in our Toddler Community and Children’s House programs. Our substitutes are a vital component of our community.  Childpeace substitutes step into the classroom when regular staff are absent requiring the desired substitute to be Montessori trained or have significant Montessori classroom experience.

Opportunities to sub are available immediately.  Preference will be given to applicants available the weeks of June 29 through July 2 and July 6 through July 10.  Our summer program runs through mid-August and our 2015-16 school year begins September 8. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain some additional experience and to work with a great community of people.

Childpeace Montessori Seeks Primary-Level Support Staff

Primary Support Staff

Childpeace Montessori is seeking just the right person for a new and unique primary-level support position, beginning August 31, 2015. This person would begin at 7:15 and lead an early morning care group, then continue through the morning in support of two classrooms — particularly working with special needs children, preparing materials, and taking observation notes as requested. We are hoping to find someone who has a base of experience in a Montessori environment, since that person will need to gracefully weave her way in and out of the classrooms during the morning work time. Afternoon hours include supporting a positive, safe environment during lunch, on the playground, in the nap rooms, and during dismissal.

Candidates must have experience working with this age group. Candidates with a 4-year degree and Step 7 or higher in the Oregon Registry are preferred. Garden and Classroom Assistant ~ West Linn, Oregon, USA

SunGarden Montessori in West Linn seeks a part-time primary outdoor assistant from 8:00-12:00, Monday through Friday beginning in the Fall 2015. Teaching Staff Positions

Portland Montessori Collaborative Seeks On-call/Substitute

Portland Montessori Collaborative seeks a creative, flexible and grounded person to be an on-call/substitute for our school. We are a Montessori school for children ages three months through six years. We keep substitutes busy and when we hire to our regular staff give priority to those from our sub pool.

Portland Montessori Collaborative (pdxMC) is deeply committed to environmental sustainability and we integrate conservation into our curriculum and practice. Ours is an all day Montessori program.

We encourage our staff to be open to changes within themselves, to learn daily and to be their authentic selves with the children. We view the role of teacher as a guide or collaborator with the children, the environment, and the other adults. We understand that learning happens all the time, and not just while the children are working with the Montessori materials. We view the role of all the adults in the environment as ‘teacher’.

This is a full time position to start immediately.  This position involves working with children of all ages, working with many adults, cleaning, and gardening as well as assisting children during mealtimes and in the bathroom. This position requires an ability to be outside for 2+ hours a day. Montessori experience not necessary, however a respect for children and what they can teach you is a requirement. A sense of humor is non-negotiable.

Before starting this position, you must be enrolled in Central Background Registry, have a current Food Handlers Card, be current in Infant/Child First Aid/CPR, and have taken RCAAN. You must have a step 4 or higher on the Oregon Registry.

SunGarden Montessori School Seeking Siesta and After School Enrichment Guide

SunGarden Montessori in West Linn seeks someone to oversee our Siesta and After School Enrichment program from 11:30am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday beginning in the Fall 2015. The Siesta Guide will work with a small group of our young primary children who are in need of a nap, and benefit from a relaxed home-like environment in the afternoons.
