Classifieds

School members of OMA may post classified ads for no charge by emailing the ad to us. Individual members may also run classified ads for themselves at no charge, but ads on behalf of non-member schools will be charged the fee for advertising.

Non-members may email us an ad and we will post it for a fee of $50. Ads are kept for 2 months. We ask that all ads be related to employment at Montessori schools, the selling or purchasing of Montessori materials, or other matters of general professional interest to our membership. We reserve the right to remove any ads that do not fall within these guidelines.

Every Summer we host an “adventure camp” for children ages 6 through 9 years of age. This summer we are looking for that dynamic, respectful role-model to help implement a program of discovery, fun and learning. A sense of humor, ingenuity, positive attitude and flexibility are essential!

Classroom Aftercare Co-Teacher & Substitute

We are looking for a nurturing, respectful, creative and dependable assistant care provider to join our year-round community. A sense of humor, observant eye, and keen listener are essential. This position is currently part time and requires a flexible demeanor and willingness to be “on-call” within mutually agreed schedule times. We are looking for an individual who can work from 2:45-6pm daily with the ability to add additional hours on to substitute during summer staff vacations; essentially working close to full time over the summer and then part-time from September onward.

Qualified candidates should have some experience working with children between the ages of 12 months through 9 years. Typically our program offers “school-year” substitutes a minimum of approximately 575hrs during 10months that excludes full-time summer employment. With our current program expansion, we foresee this being more. In the past, this position has worked well for adults attending college or post-graduate studies.

Childpeace Montessori School in beautiful Portland, Oregon seeks an assistant Upper Elementary Guide to begin in August 2015.

Childpeace Montessori School, founded in 1976, offers Toddler Community, Children’s House, Elementary, and Adolescent programs.  This position is an assistant Elementary Guide role in an established community of students ages 9-12.  The Assistant Guide works with the Lead Guide to support a large Upper Elementary community of 37 students by giving lessons, supporting follow-up, offering individual student support, record keeping and helping with classroom management, administration and communication with the parent group.  This is a salaried position based on a 7/hour day though some additional time will be needed for parent education, camp, or enrollment events.
