Co-Teacher Position Beginning Spring or Summer 2014
Posted December 4, 2013
Chickadee Montessori LLC is a small and vibrant Children’s House in the Cedar Mill area of outer NW Portland. We’re in our fourth year now, with 15 children, most of whom stay for 7 – 10 hours. We have 3 staff (lead guide/owner, co-teacher, assistant), and a very caring and connected parent community. With our own open forest, grass, garden beds, and chickens, on ¾ acre, we make full use of a rich and natural outdoor environment. You can read more about Chickadee at the website link below, and you will find a link to my blog there; I also maintain a Chickadee Facebook page.
My AMI-trained co-teacher, who has been with me since Chickadee opened, is joyfully pregnant with twins. She is leaving us at Winter Break. We have a new assistant for the next six months, but she also has just told me she is pregnant! (Blessings abound).
So although the need is not urgent, I am very much seeking a committed Montessori trained and/or experienced person to join Chickadee as a co-teacher, beginning in the spring or summer of 2014.
Please contact me via email, ask any questions, send your resume, write a descriptive cover letter, tell me a little about yourself. I look forward to hearing from you!
