Our current staff array includes two trained Montessori guides (owner/guide and co-teacher/guide) plus an assistant, and then a later-afternoon assistant too.   As our owner shifts down to working less hours, we need to fill a new, two-staged position. This person could be an experienced or newly trained Montessori guide, or if not trained, with good childcare experience, patience, dedication, and lots of enthusiasm.

In the summer months of July to mid-August, this new staff member will work full time, with somewhat flexible hours on different days of the week.  Beginning in September, this person will shift to afternoon hours, from 12:00 to 5:30, plus occasional morning substitute hours as needed, about 28 hours per week – great for those who are dedicated to Montessori but who need or prefer to work less than full-time. This person will close at end of day, and therefore must qualify to be alone with children (15+ hours of annual training and a year of experience, at least).

We are eager to bring the right new person into our warm-hearted community.   To begin the application process, please write a cover letter telling about yourself, your experiences with children, your history with Montessori, your special skills or interests, etc. The usual OCC legal requirements will apply, of course.   We will get into those details after this first cycle of letters of interest.
