School members of OMA may post classified ads for no charge by emailing the ad to us. Individual members may also run classified ads for themselves at no charge, but ads on behalf of non-member schools will be charged the fee for advertising.

Non-members may email us an ad and we will post it for a fee of $50. Ads are kept for 2 months. We ask that all ads be related to employment at Montessori schools, the selling or purchasing of Montessori materials, or other matters of general professional interest to our membership. We reserve the right to remove any ads that do not fall within these guidelines.

Cascadia School Seeks a Montessori Elementary Guide

Cascadia School is expanding its elementary program. We are seeking an elementary guide to co-teach in a Lower Elementary classroom starting in August 2014. This full time position will allow guides new to the elementary classroom time to develop class management and leadership skills as well as gain more experience giving lessons. For more experienced guides, this is a chance to share the work load with another guide and delve deeper into a specific area of the elementary classroom. As the program grows, the guide will have the opportunity to have their own classroom.

Our ideal candidate must have AMI Elementary training and a BA/BS. Ideally, the applicant is someone who can collaborate with others, communicate effectively, has strong organizational skills and is able to build positive relationships with students, families and co-workers. Prior experience, foreign language, music, art and P.E. experience would be a plus.

Cascadia is located in Vancouver, Washington on 1.5 acres and is adjacent to a green space. Cascadia serves children 1st through 8th grades. Little Friends Montessori is Hiring

Little Friends Montessori is located in the heart of downtown Salem.  We are an energetic community looking for new team members to join us in pouring Montessori education into the children of Salem.  Our school is growing quickly since opening in 2011 and we are excited to be opening Salem’s first Elementary Montessori.  Our team of staff are committed to the children in our program and steadily working towards a better environment for both the children, parents and staff.

Materials for Sale

Sellwood Montessori has some Montessori materials that we are no longer using and want to sell. Some of the materials are missing pieces or are random extras for which we have no use. We’d love to sell everything as a set, but are willing to split them up if need be. Please email if interested in pictures. Here’s what we have:

  • Subtraction Strip Board – missing the red #1 and the blue #2
  • Binomial cube – no box, but does have lid (probably best used as extra pieces)
  • Teens and Tens board with numbers – no box
  • Set of Cylinder blocks – a few missing cylinders

Childpeace Montessori School in beautiful Portland, Oregon seeks an Assistant Upper Elementary Guide to begin in August 2014.

Childpeace Montessori School, founded in 1976, offers Toddler Community, Children’s House, Elementary, and Adolescent programs.  This position is an assistant Elementary Guide role in an established community of students ages 9-12. The Assistant Guide works with the Lead Guide to support a large Upper Elementary community of 37 students by giving lessons, supporting follow-up, offering individual student support, record keeping and helping with classroom management, administration and communication with the parent group. This is a salaried position based on a 7/hour day though some additional time will be needed for parent education, camping trips, or enrollment events.
