Child’s View Montessori School is an ever expanding year-round Montessori program serving children age 3 months through 9 years old in Southwest Portland. Spanish Teacher

Aftercare Teacher

This could be a great opportunity for someone in the MNW training!  The hours are M-F 3-545 with some additional hours for teacher planning and staff meetings throughout the year and an option for more hours cleaning the school. I am seeking a new staff person to begin part-time as soon as possible; the basic hours will be 8:15 – 12:15 from Monday to Thursday. The best applicant will fill one of two possible roles: either you will hold a Montessori certificate for ages 3-6, and thus soon become a head-teacher (my first preference), or you will have experience as a Montessori assistant.

The right candidate will contain a great sense of humor, be prepared to get down to children’s level, laugh and learn with them. Also, remember they are learning and growing. SunGarden Montessori is hiring a toddler guide to begin in January 2017

SunGarden Montessori Children’s House is expanding its 35-year Children’s House program to include a small toddler program, starting in January 2017. We are seeking a toddler Guide who is interested in participating both in the growth and development of this new program, as well as filling the part-time lead position with a possible fall start date.

This person will support and collaborate with our long-time Aftercare Director in running the after-school program for children aged 6 to 12. The position officially begins Monday, August 29, with some additional hours for orientation, set up of the environment, and staff/team meetings beginning the week of August 15.

Duties include but are not limited to: supervising children during both indoor and outdoor play, keeping accurate attendance records, maintaining the environment, preparing snacks, and engaging the children in a variety of activities. Part Time and Full Time Support Positions

Sunstone Montessori School seeks enthusiastic, communicative, team players for part time and full time support positions in our organization, starting immediately. We are an AMI Montessori school serving 200 children from toddler to upper elementary in John’s Landing.

The available positions involve working primarily with children between 16 months to 6 years of age (some possibility to work with 6-12 years old), assisting with mealtimes, sleep, bathroom, and cleaning.  The ability to work well with a team of adults is essential. Montessori experience is not necessary, however, a love for children, what you can learn from them, and experience working with them, is required.

Sunstone Montessori School offers year-round programs, with class available from 7:30am-5:30pm.  The positions available are year-round, with paid vacation days, and fall between the hours of 7:15am-5:45pm.

Requirements:

Experience working with young children

Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry

Current CPR/1st Aid, RRCAN, and Food Handlers

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Ability to meet Office of Child Care requirements
