Children’s Voices at the Congress!

Montessori Elementary Children (ages 6 – 14) – You are invited to participate in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the International Montessori Congress!

For the Opening Ceremony, Congress coordinators and volunteers will have children walk in a procession carrying flags to represent the 55 countries in attendance.  The children will be led in song by Montessori Elementary guide, Michael Johnson.  The lyrics to the song “Peaceful World” will be displayed on a screen for all participants to sing along.  Your children need not have mastered the song – it will be very fun and natural!  Here is the song with lyrics.
For the Closing Ceremony, there will be two adults leading a song with children gathered on the floor, in a classroom-style group.   We can accommodate about 20 children for this performance, and, again, they do not need to know the song completely.  Song and lyrics
